Newly formed in 2012 after a period of training with the AMU (Association of Master Upholsterers), the ambition is to reinvigorate and refresh life into classic furniture, and also to create unique contemporary seating using a fine blend of traditional and modern upholstery techniques. These techniques, combined with solid, quality materials will provide reliable furniture that will give generations both comfort and pleasure in their home.
With a background studying design and manufacture, I went on to complete a degree in three dimensional design with a specialisation in furniture at DeMontfort University in 1995. My desire to see the furniture we use on a daily basis created to a high standard, by craftspeople you can talk to, has led me to establish the workshop in Rowsley, Derbyshire. Beginning with five years in Caudwells Mill craft workshops, but the increasing need for space led me to the barn by Sycamore Cottage, which was previously used by a furniture maker. From here I can breathe new life into your family furniture with fresh fillings and fabrics, or create new pieces of furniture for the generations to come.
Please have a look at my work on this site, and drop in for a chat if you're in the area!
